The Celtics brief stint of a fully healthy roster under head coach Ime Udoka may only last one game as Jaylen Brown was listed as questionable on the team’s injury report for Sunday’s matchup against the Rockets.
Brown is listed as dealing with left patella tendinopathy, which is a form of left knee tendinitis that he dealt with frequently last season before undergoing season-ending left wrist surgery in May.
The All-Star forward also missed 10 days of training camp in order to quarantine after contracting COVID-19 but he ended up playing a career-high 46 minutes in the team’s season-opening loss to the Knicks on Wednesday, just one day after being cleared following the long absence.
Those heavy minutes may have impacted Brown’s play in Friday’s ugly loss to the Raptors as he struggled through a lackluster outing, scoring just 11 points on 13 shot attempts over 28 minutes.
The Celtics face off with the Rockets at 7 p.m. on Sunday night in Houston.
